This cable is far superior to your normal fiber core or steel core cable. This is by far the strongest cable we sell. The breaking strength is 20,400 lbs. compared to 12,200 lbs breaking strength for fiber core and 15,100 lbs for EIPS IWRC steel core cable. This cable is stronger, more resistant to abrasion, kinking and drum crushing.

Absolutely worth the money. Getting the swage version means they start with a 7/16 cable and compress it to 3/8. So you have all the strength of the heavier cable. For the extra couple bucks, totally worth it just for the peace of mind. Why would you want to cut cost on one of the most important pieces on your rig?
