I have owned shoes from the "big brand," but these are superior. Of course, a lot of it has to do with fit and comfort, and that will vary from person to person. I have a pretty standard foot and can buy normal width shoes without any trouble. The quality of Ecco is what always impresses me. They are very supportive and stable, but very comfortable.
