We have 2 large pitbulls and large bully but like a tree stump. We had new owners buy the house next door and they also have pitbulls that are very aggressive. They chewed through our privacy fence and our 93lb female bully busted through and lit one of them up. They were understanding and but we both needed something needed to be done to prevent future incident. We put up 1/2" plywood sheets to strengthen the fence but their dogs always jumping and biting on fence agitating ours. We had to do something just to get peace and prevent another fence incident. So I looked and researched these and wanted to get one strong enough for our big dogs. The Red Sizzle looked like it fit the bill! Install took about 2 hours to do a 90 foot privacy fence running the wire, insulators and grounding it. I hated to do it but all it took was once pop with two of the dogs. Pop, yelp jump about 3 foot into the air and they wont get within 12 inches of the fence anymore, It wasn't funny and had to console each dog when it happened BUT it worked and worked good. The 93lb female took about 4 pops (she's not real bright) but for the most part has worked. It tears me up to have had to to do this but now I dont even plug the fence in anymore. The Red Sizzle very strong 6.5 joules. If you are forced to have to resort to using a stronger deterrent rest assured this will work on any dog any size. It will light them up and make a loud pop. Now if only our neighbor would but one! Dont touch it this thing doesn't play!
