I ordered this chair for my physical therapy patients who can not lay prone. Worked as intended but just wore down over time. Now its little rickety and the material on the head rest is disintegrating. Not bad for 4 years old but im going to try a different model this time. The Earthlite Vortex is okay. I paid $125 on Amazon. It is now $299. It seems well built and sturdy. It doesn't hold a large person very well. It is uncomfortable for some of my clients. The armrest isto low. The face rest adjustment height is dual so it takes more time to adjust to make sure bothsides are equal. Clients feel like their knee's and hips are more bent than need be. The cushioningis well done, especially the contoured face cushion. The seat could be a little larger. I had someonedrill 2 extra holes in the bar so I could adjust the armrest up a bit. Still an odd angel though. The massage chairs I own are Dolphin, Master Massage, Stronglite, Earthlite Vortex and I've borrowedthe Golden Ratio. The Golden Ratio is still my favorite because it has the least amount of adjustmentsand I like their face rest cushion and system the best. I've avoided buying it because of expense. I'll fork up the bucks for it this time. The Master Massage is very close in structure to the Golden Ratio. I don't like the MM face cushion, to small and no contour. The knob for raising the face unit stripped out. What I like about the MM is it's close to the Golden Ratio, very inexpensive ($165 at the time), easy set up and it comes with awheeled bag and has the same specs as the Golden Ratio. The Pices Dolphin cannot seem toengineer a decent face unit. After the 2nd one broke, I didn't replace it. They have engineered atleast two others since and I've checked them out from other's owning one and the face rests don'twork well. Plus two many adjustments. And most MT's aren't going to place the chair in a horizontalposition especially if they're massaging one right after another. Stronglite is fabulous quality. Holds600 pounds while the others hold 300. Most my clients don't like it. They feel like they are slidingbackwards. They just don't feel comfortable in it except the large men. With all that being said, theGolden Ratio is my fav, Earthlight Vortex (would be Master Massage as long as I use a differentfacerest), MM, Stronglite, Dolphin.I'm a student massage therapist and I started doing chair massages. I decided to get my own chair and I am very pleased with this chair. It was surprisingly easy to set up and I tried it out on myself and it is very, very comfortable. I love the different colors you can choose and it's just so pretty. When I did the massages it was very sturdy and very easy to adjust to the client. I love how it's easy to fold and easy to put back in the carry-on bag AND it actually zips up which us wonderful! I was very happy with how light it is and I was actually able to carry my chair in the carrier bag it comes with and also carry my trash bin and another bag on my other shoulder without feeling like I was going to pass out. My previous experience with massage chairs is from the ones we use in college. They're very heavy and difficult to adjust and when you stick them back in the bag the zipper just won't zip up all the way. I am very happy with my purchaseThe plastic screws to keep the face rest in place are not easy to deal with! they get stocked and hard to move. Not a good thing when you are doing chair massage sessions . I wish the company replies to me about it.Great massage chair for company events ,very light and easy to move around. Sturdy and functional, though headrest needs to be adjusted via 2 dials it still is great chair. Only problem is that the bag ,which comes with it, is a little bit too tight. You really need to make sure to put chair in the correct way and have all adjustments/ height adjustments set to the lowest setting or the chair won't fit in the bag height wise. The bag is just a bit too tightly constructed so it j u s t about fits the chair. Bag has a carrying strap which can also be used to attach to chair directly for ease of moving it around.. Chair also cones with a small sternum pad but I haven't tried that yet. Overall great chair if you want to get into doing some regulat chair massages and don't want a bigger, heavier and bulkier chair.Nice thick cushion, easy to put up and take down!I like Earthlite and was originally going to buy the Availa. Then decided lighter might be the better way to go for my mobile massage practice. Only after about six weeks of professional use a rubber stomper at the base fell out and was nowhere to be found. The chair is entirely wobbly, embarrassing, and nearly useless until I get the replacement part. This part malfunction has hurt my practice. The chair itself is super light. However, I would have opted for a sturdier and more comfortable chair in retrospect. Prior to the rubber stomper falling out. My clients would always end up sitting so awkwardly in the chair, even after several adjustments. If I could return it I would. I going to end up purchasing a new chair anyway due to the comfort issue.I bought this massage chair to replace a very old one I had been using for a corporate gig. With my last visit, I brought my new chair and the staff LOVED it! I noticed a huge difference with their experience receiving the massage. Because of the sturdiness of the chair, they seemed to be able to get in their zone quicker, mentally let go, and hold onto their zen even when they got up and walked out the door. For my larger framed clients, this chair is dependable and STURDY. The fact the headrest is adjustable, made it a cinch to accommodate each person for the right angle and height of their torso. What they loved the most was the sternum cushion. It adds that extra comfort that you can't get when you're a curvy goddess. I highly recommend this chair! This chair is an excellent purchase for doing back, neck and shoulder massages on clothed clients. As a massage therapist it means that you are more upright, with very little bending. The parts of the chair can be moved to suit the height of the client, and me as I am only 5 foot! It's also well padded for comfort. I would put a face cover on the face cradle for hygeine but it is very comfortable. It took a few goes to get the chair into the carry bag in the right orientation, but the chair and bag are very light and MUCH easier to move than my portable table. It feels extremely sturdy. I am really pleased with the purchase.Bought this chair thinking it was good because it is expensive and it had a lifetime guarantee on the frame. Part of the frame broke after a couple of years and despite emailing the company twice they have not responded. For this reason and also for the fact that the chair does not fit into the bag provided to carry it around I do not recommend this chair. I think you would be better off with one a third of the price which I have had for twice as long and is still good.Excellent product! And arrived within 36hrs. Light & easy to use & pack away. Nice carriage bag included also. Earthlite obviously means quality!great product, as described and great quality for the price.Fabulous massage chair!! Easy to set up, adjust and very comfortable. Excellent quality
