I've always liked and preferred analog timers. They're fun and extremely easy to use. Doesn't take much to know that one only needs to turn the knob to the desired time. Plus, they have cute designs. The downfall is if they're dropped, they break easily and that ends that.Even digital timers aren't that much better. I purchased this with great reservation unsure of whether it would work or fail like the others I've tried. I was about to write off digital timers for good until I found this gem.This "Elegant Digital Kitchen Timer" has been absolutely terrific. Easy to use, easy to read with large numbers, and the timer is loud enough to be heard from the other room.Other digital kitchen timers I've tried died after only a few uses. It didn't take long before the digital numbers became hard to read or portions of the numbers disappeared. It became hard to tell if a number was an 3, 6 or 9. That's the problem with digital readouts. Just as frustrating was the fact that the magnet that keeps the timer stuck to an appliance fell off, rendering it useless for that purpose. It's always possible that the magnet fell off due to higher humidity levels here since I live on a lake however that only pertains to summer months since I live in a northern state. But this little timer has withstood excess humidity levels in summer and remains strongly intact as we now enter autumn. I never anticipated that I would enjoy a timer this much. It has been a gem--even for a digital.This digital timer is a nice size that doesn't take up a lot of counter space. The numbers are easy to read, the timer is accurate, and best of all it is EASY to figure out how to use it. The instructions are simple and understandable. The timer beep signaling the finished time is loud and lasts for 62 seconds. I am hard of hearing, so this is a wonderful feature. The styling is modern with a pretty silver colored finish. All in all, it is a perfect little timer!I’m so glad to have this timer all over the house, not only in the kitchen. It looks nice, has the large display and easy to read. The alarm sounds good, doesn’t scare me like most of the other timer’s alarms. Turns off automatically with saving last number, stays perfect on the refrigerator with the magnet.Have gone thru 2 similar ones, but liked the large display & ease of programming. Found this one & decided to give it a try. Hope it lasts more than a year. Fingers crossed.it came with a plastic wrapped battery and it would not work until i removed the plastic. it is really good. the last two old-fashioned oven timers i bought only lasted a couple of years. this one seems like it might last longer.I'm hard of hearing so it works great to use for timing whenI am meditating. So easy to use, great quality.Highly recommend.This is an attractive and well made timer. I like the fact that it turns itself off, saving battery, but this requires an extra touch to awaken it.I like this timer. It is louder than one I returned previously, and instructions are simple. Colors are nice. I bought two kinds of timers together, and although this one doesn't have an on/off button, it is easy to remove the battery whenever you don't plan to use it for a while. The other one i bought has a weird 3-way switch, one is OFF, one is silent alarm mode, and one is loud alarm mode. That one needs instructions to remember which way the switches belong. This one is simple (just 3 buttons), , has a memory function in case you use the same amount of time regularly, is pretty, stands up nicely, folds away if desired, and is loud enough.
