Putting this bed together it was somewhat easy. However, the middle bar is not the correct length. This is one of the last steps. I was so irritated!! The pack had some extra screws & things, so I used one long screw to somewhat stabilize & zip tied the rest. Considering by time I was at this point of putting bed together it was late & I was over it! With the exception of the wrong middle bar, everything else seems sturdy & fit fine. Very disappointed in this product!!***Amazon has been helpful in helping to remedy this issue.For the price I paid, I'm pretty happy with the bed. I was able to build it myself in a couple of hours. It's a pretty straightforward, no frills bed. It is standard height so has room under the bed to store things if you need to. It did start creeking after about 6 months into owning the bed, but I just tightened the screws and creeking is gone (I think 16 screws total). I did have to buy some vertical plywood slats because my mattress is memory foam so that added to the final cost, but I'm pretty satisfied. I'd say if you're on a budget or just need something temporary, this is a good solution. Just keep an Allen wrench closeby so you can tighten the screws every once in a while.UPDATE: Now that I have the new mattress installed, I'm finding the metal slats to be a bit slippery. The mattress will slide around. I'm going to try putting some anti-slip tape on the slats and see if that keeps the mattress from moving.-------------------------------------------------Nice, simple design. Assembles easily with included Allen key.Sturdy, all-metal frame. No wood slats. Just the wood head and foot boards. Feels solid.Not quite as tall as advertised. Expect about 12 inches of clearance on the side and 7 inches on the end. I put 5 inch risers on the feet to give me about 17 inches of storage clearance on the sides. You'll need 9 risers to raise this bed so make sure you buy enough.Overall pleased with the purchase.It took about an hour and a half to assemble, and it was relatively easy to do. Seems like it is made out of good materials.I was leery since I was sending this to Puerto Rico. But it came when it was supposed to- And in great shape! I put it together by myself and it took a couple of hours.It is solid! I am very impressed for the price.I did get a little freaked out at the end because the last middle brace looked about 2 inches too short to attach to the footboard. But I used one of the extra long bolts to pull them together and they fit perfectly once pulled together ( I just wasn’t strong enough)I am presently surprised with this bed!Horrible instructions, way way too many screws and complete pain to put together. Once put together it's fine though. If any of the reviews you read say the horizontal bars keep coming out, that's because those people assembled it incorrectly. Took me a bit to figure it out because the instructions are horrible. But once you figure it out it's fine. The company should put out a video. I would buy the Zinus Lottie bed instead. Super easy , there's YouTube videos, just as sturdie and it looks better in my opinion.Plastic pieces that are needed to hold the bars/slats in place keep breaking.A very nice heavy duty bed. Only took my husband about an hour to assemble by himself. It is so cute and is strong. The bed is for my 2 year old and we got the full size. He said it’s not hard to put together. Would recommend
