Description

Specs: Model: M-T3012A500 Total Length: 11.75 In. Membrane Length: 10.25 In. Diameter: 3.2 In. Flow Rate: 500 GPD / 1892 LPD Material: TFC (Thin Film Composite) Stabilized Salt Rejection: 98% Certified to NSF/ANSI 58 for the reduction of Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium (Hexavalent), Chromium (Trivalent), Copper, Turbidity, Fluoride, Lead, Radium 226/228, Selenium, and TDS. Applications: In-Home drinking, cooking, plant, and pet water. Office, lab, restaurant, bar, coffee café, or any other point of use application that requires pure, clean water. Universal Standard Size ~3” x 12” membrane yields up to 500 GPD. Suitable for most reverse osmosis/deionization (RO / DI) systems such as iSpring, APEC, LiquaGen, APEC, Aquatic Life, Express Water, Axeon, Global Water, Microline, COSTWAY, Dow Filmtec, GE, Watts Premier and all other standard under-sink RO systems. Frequently Asked Questions: Can this be used for brackish or sea water? No, this membrane is designed for tap water use. We offer other membranes for these special applications. How long does the membrane last? Many companies claim their membranes last for years. Industry standards suggest replacing your RO membrane every 12 months will preserve the purity and flow rate of your water system.

UPDATE May 2024: This has been making about 1 gallon every other day and still producing at the same specs as posted 3 years ago. The only prefilter is a .5 or 1 micron carbon 10" standard filter which I replace every 12 months or so. Ill keep it going to see how long it will last and post another update when it stops working. This 500 GPD membrane is the real deal! This membrane meets specs and works well for a tankless undersink setup for drinking, cooking, coffee etc that has no electrical requirements.Im using a single 0.5 micron SpectraPure carbon block filter going into this membrane. You probably dont need a sediment filter with this carbon block unless your water is really dirty. Total cost for the setup is under $170 including housings, 1/4" hoses, fittings and connectors. I have an adjustable flow restrictor and I tested different waste ratios and 1:1 got pretty good results. I found the higher the flow rate doesnt really lower the TDS that much unless you get down to like a trickle. You can get better waste ratios with lower waste flow rates but with slightly higher TDS. Im getting about 351 GPD which plenty fast enough to fill up a coffee pot. Here are my test results with source water at 60 PSI, 72F temp @ about 1:1 product to waste ratio:TDS IN: 217TDS OUT: 6GPD: 351.23(Took about 4 minutes 6 seconds to fill 1 gallon jug.)Ive tested other 400-600 GPD membranes and have found that most of them are really 300 GPD membranes with a 100PSI rating and produce less than 220 GPD at 60PSI. Most homes dont have 100PSI at the tap. But with this membrane, 60PSI works fine without a booster pump or any other electrical connections. I have 60PSI at the tap, but dont have power under my sink so I needed something without electrical requirements. This membrane makes it possible without spending and arm and a leg. Plus units with electrical are more expensive and have more things that can go wrong. Like most other tankless RO systems you do have to let the unit run for about a minute to get rid of the TDS creep.
