I got the version with the top door, one lock seems to be very tight and the other kind of loose. Also, one of the holes for the screws is partially blocked by one of the bars, so I could not get the screw in at all and had to use zip ties. Other than these things it’s a good cage and works well for me, plenty of room for my dog to be comfortable.great design, well built, large enough for my RC collie. Only a small problem is the door within the door can be easily opened if not securely latchedMy lab was able to escape the expensive crate the 2nd time I used it. Sad to say that with 4 zip ties I think I fixed the issue. But it wasn’t worth what I paid for it (expensive) if I had to rig it to work the way it should have in the 1st place!! And the damage my dog did in that 2 hr time frame cost me about the same as the crate!One of the 3 door latches failed. It was the metal bar (male) from the door to the latch that broke off. It was bent out so much it wouldn't latch - but when I tried to bend it back - it broke. So I zip tied the bottom "food feeder" door closed (since we won't use it) - and it's latch works as the second main door latch.The welds are not the greatest but adequate. I also see how the extra long bolts could be an issue for some but I have plastic caps that fit. So far the pups are cool with it.The bottom of the cage has the bars spaced about 1 1/2 inches and my dogs feet go through them. I wish the bottom was solid or at least closer together. The latches that close the top just slide in place and he is able to move them if he is to active. He is a little 10 lb terrier but he has destroyed a metal Kong cage and another wire cage. This one does not have a dent in it. Very happy with this.This kennel has saved our separation anxiety 55 pound pit bull from hurting himself. We had a typical wire kennel be tore up his face on while biting the wires and escaping. No biting this kennel.The door locks do not work. We tried the fixes suggested with no luck. Solved with a chain and lock. Wheels are nice for moving it to clean. One of the plastic trays were cracked during shipping.So far all else is good. This allows us to leave the house knowing he is safe until we return.I loved this crate! The fact that my dog that escapes everything was finally being kept in his cage.Was incredibly disappointed though to own this less than a month and one of the wheels broke off. That was one of the reasons I liked this cage that it could be easily moved across my hardwood floors without scratching it. Now we had to jimmy the wheel on and hope it doesn’t fall out with the dog in it.I am not sure how my dog figured out how to unlock the side door but he did, so know I use a rope lock with it.I do like the heavier metal because the wired crates my dog could bin them to gwt out but not he is secured and safe. I don't like the floor of it because it's wide so you can out a lot of treats in. The on part does not stay on mine but my dog is mostly potty trained and it stays outside.If you have an escape artist this may be a solutionfast delivery, problem with the locks because they are not aligned properly in the door so have to push up to lock but then very good, hoping that will work itself out. Great size really sturdy.. The big problem is the plastic trays. the rods for the trays actually punctured one during transport and the box was torn to shreds in several places. Hoping the seller will send me a tray.The grated floor is good, our dog drools a lot and that made it easier to clean. We specifically ordered this crate because our puppy, an 8 month old boxer, was escaping from every crate we bought for him.This crate, while a lot sturdier, still did not contain our pup. He was able to escape out of the bottom single latch gate. The latch just isn't strong enough on that gate. Our pup is able to unlatch it by ramming his head against the gate until it unlatched.Received today. Positive side is easy to assemble and sturdyBox all broken and destroyed even though there is a fragile sticker on it.The 2 plastic trays are cracked.Thé Metal bars are missing paint and is scratched up.Extremely disappointed for an item I paid over 400$ for!
