This is a sturdy base for my audio equipment and just the right size.I got this Sanus EFAB-B1 Modular base together with the Sanus AV Media Stand to make 2 independent stands. One of has 2 shelfs and the other has 3. The 2 shelfs one is 14 inches tall and I am using it to mount my UST Laser Projector and works perfect with the Yard master 2 Elite Screen. The Problem with these Media Stand is the Package, since they both arrived with some minor damage, scratches and dents Sanus should use better boxes and packing material to protect the content. I contacted Customer Support and their response was that the product is discontinued and they don't support it. I’m still keeping it since the damage are in the back and not very visible.Size and colorI would definitely recommend this product , only thing is , I wish it had a bunch of small holes on the actual base board , so your receiver or amplifier would breathe and it wouldn’t get hot. That’s would make this product perfect. Otherwise I still give it 5 stars , as is made of good quality and very strong. The base board is very nice and thick , I’m sure you can pile a lot of stuff on top of it and wouldn’t crack. I made this review out of the kindness of my heart , as I feel is an excellent product for your bucks. I’m very happy with it , the other thing , I’m not so happy about , is that....it looks like it can be easily scratched. I look at other similar products like this and this one was the largest in dimensions. Thanks again from a very happy customer.This is the first Sanus product I've ever purchased, previously opting for price. As my only need for these was to life my Polk Audio tower speakers off the floor they did their job and did it well. The site description alludes to some sound dampening and since I'm on the 2nd floor of an apt my neighbors below likely appreciate this. Yet the Sanus literature says nothing about this so I'm not sure if it's true or not. I could have bought something cheaper but I truly believe I would have gotten a lesser product. It assembled easily enough and while a large footprint for what I'm using it for I'm pleased so far. I highly recommend.I have had my big amp sitting on a piece of granite for years. I decided to get this stand to make things look a little more formal. This stand is nice and big. It also is supporting this big amplifier with no problem. This stand is solid and firm. It has no wobble or motion, even at max load. Assembly was quick and easy. I like the spikes so that it sits stable on the carpeting. It is attractive and lifts the amp off of the floor several inches, which I also like.I noted that during assembly the paint around the posts flaked just a bit when I tightened the screws. It is not noticeable unless I get on the floor and look under the amp.From a quality and assembly process, this was as advertised, if not better. I needed to replace the tubing base because of an installer’s poor choice of casters that damaged the tubing of the original rack.This package arrived and I was able to replace the tubing base quickly. The missing star represents a missed opportunity to have the ability to use the wooden shelf and supports to extend the rack one more level. Now I have a bunch of extra parts left over.Also, why not allow for casters to be added? I have to access equipment from behind. Hmmm, another opportunity to improve perhaps??Heavy duty stand.Good quality, very sturdy. Lots of room for my amp. Not the most beautiful design but looks good in my theater room.
