I ordered this product to fix a broken shelf to the wall before I was going to have to replace the entire unit. The product comes packaged in small, one time use sizes, which I really liked. I determined the size of the repair and used 3 packets. It does set in the full 5 minutes as described. I recommend mixing thoroughly until you get the uniform white color before applying. The first one I used, I did not mix long enough. This is a GREAT product though and I highly recommend it! I also have more on hand to fix other items.I tried this on TPU, PLA, PETG and wood. It's nothing extra special or unique. It's your typical two-part clear epoxy. What makes is stand out is the packaging. If you use epoxy a lot, you know that once the bottles are opened or tube cap twisted off, the timer starts. You may have a month or two until the stuff starts to thicken and become useless. Since these are individual packets you don't have that problem. Put a couple of packs in the tool box. Stick one in the trunk. Keep some in the cosplay repair box.Use: Take one of the included sticks and force the two parts to one end so the liquid stays off the scissors or knife. Fold where indicted, cut, press out the epoxy onto the cardboard (or whatever you want to mix on) using the stick. That way you get it all out. Toss the pouch, start to mix. It takes about 30 seconds - it turns milky white as it mixes so you can see when done.Apply immediately - you only have a few minutes until it sets.On the 3D materials I tested it on, PETG and PLA held great. TPU seemed to hold, but actually peeled apart easily. The epoxy remained flexible. If I would have designed the surfaces for glue - with texture instead of being smooth, it probably would have held. Wood held like expected. The wood will break before the bond.Curing: I placed some on a plastic container lid. Two hours later I peeled it off. The epoxy touching the lid had a couple of wet areas that dried shortly after peeling up. The entire thing was more like hard rubber than the typical plastic feel dry epoxy has. I did notice several uncured areas. I'm 100% sure that way my fault for not mixing enough. But with a 3 minute working time and 30-45 seconds mixing, that leaves a couple of minutes to use it. That's a small window. Plus mixing on a flat cardboard surface is more difficult than you'd think. It's easy to miss small pockets of epoxy. A small container/cup is so much easier.Even 6 hours later my thumb-nail was leaving dents in the epoxy. Overnight and it was as hard as expected. If mixed really well it's a totally acceptable bond in only a few minutes. It was impossible to pull apart the redish PLA pieced I glued (without any clamping) after 10 minutes. But I'd wait a day to paint or sand.We use epoxy on a daily basis and have traditionally used the quick set kind that comes in a tube. We haven't had any major issues with the tubes, but when I saw these, I knew we had to give them a try.First off, love the convenience of having the packets premeasured. It's hard to mess up the ratio with the tubes, but even harder with the packets. Both parts of this epoxy are clear out of the packets. Some other epoxies add a light tint to one part to better confirm that you've fully mixed the epoxy (if you've ever worked with epoxy, or you ever do, you'll learn that mixing properly is very important to a good cure.) That said, the lack of a tint didn't bother me a bit. Just ensure that when you're mixing, you're doing a good job to incorporate everything well. Make sure to scrape the bottom of your mixing surface and ensure your mixing stick isn't holding on to more of one part of the mixture. The mixing process of this epoxy yielded a white mixture instead of clear, so it had me confused momentarily, but I can confirm it definitely does set fairly clear...clear enough for our use, anyhow.I will say, this stuff sets up fast. I appreciate this. The other epoxy we use says 5 minutes for application but takes closer to 15-20 to start to firm up. This stuff was pretty solid within 5 minutes. Again, for me, this is a plus, but just keep this in mind if you need a longer application time.Just a tip...keep your mixing stick and mixing surface (that you'll want to be disposable) handy to check the cure. This way you're pulling/prodding on something that's going in the trash instead of your finished product. If the cure isn't quite there when you check your mixing stick/surface, you haven't messed up what you were working on.There was zero odor here which was also different from the other epoxies that we used.Oh, and they included the stir sticks. We have a ton, but if you're buying this for a project, this is something you might overlook needing, so it's nice that they are included. All around, really like the stuff. This is an ideal product for small jobs when you don’t want to waste an entire double tube of epoxy. However, each tiny 3.5 gram blister pack costs $2 so you need to evaluate whether this is right for you. The up side is there is no waste and you only mix what you expect to use. The product is pre-measured so there’s no guess work. But the cost is really high compared to epoxies you can get at the hardware store. The difference is the packaging.I like this especially because of the ease of use. The packets let you squeeze out the right amount each time. I hated using the old-style plunger style as you never get the same amount to mix and you wind up tossing out a lot of epoxies. This allows you to store it and it doesn't go bad.I like this and will be handy to keep in the toolbox. This worked perfect for me. I love that it makes a small amount for a home repair. I can't tell you how many times I've had to buy, and then throw out, epoxy's in larger vials. You get all that you need, the packet of stuff, a paper to squeeze it out on, even a stick to stir it and apply it to your item. Very convenient!I knocked the head off my resin crane and used this to put it back on and it worked perfectly with no wasted product. I actually did this in my living room and there was no horrible smell either.Very happy to find this. No complaints.
