I was looking for a pair of cute but practical boots to wear in the New England winters for running errands etc. I have a pair of Sorel's that I love for their warmth and comfort but they are clunky and I feel like my feet look HUGE in them. I took the "what size should I be" test on Sperry's website but they didn't have the Rip Water boot in my size so off to Amazon I went. Sperry told me that I was a size 9 M so that it is what I ordered. I have a wide foot with a very high arch and have a hard time fitting boots. I was hesitant about this purchase but am happy to say that I received my boots 2 days ago and was able to slip these on with minimal effort (I usually have to pull and push and struggle to get boots on). Once on my foot the width and arch support were great but the top of my foot was pressed up against the boot...darn high arches. After walking around the house to see if it was going to be a problem I decided to give them a try running to the store. After about an hour of what I would call a tight fit on the top of my foot the boots started to give a bit and were much more comfortable and I was able to walk around in these for a couple of hours with no discomfort. I should mention that the inside of these boots are lined with a very soft fleecy material and I only had to wear a regular sock, nothing to thick or heavy and my feet where toasty warm and dry. If I had to order these again I would size up a half size for my own comfort but I would definitely buy these boots again.
