I had to buy this to go with hot/cold spigot I was replacing to match the original installation. There have been changes to the design of the spigot which forced me into purchasing this.On the one hand, this was over twice what tanks like this cost but, I needed the proprietary connections introduced to the spigot design.I like that the siphoning inherent in the hot water section of the device is much lower in comparison to the previous version.It is much louder than the previous version and the LED panel being on and wasting energy 24/7 is an annoyance.Overall though, it is a decent product if too expensive.Purchased the BTI digital Instant Hot Water Dispensing Unit. Installation was easy and the unit does not take up much space under the cabinet. Aesthetically the unit looks clean and modern compared to other manufactures. Produces instant hot water at the desired temperature. After owning the product for about 9 months we ran into a little issue. We contacted BTI and Tim the owner immediately responded to us and addressed our concern. BTI stands behind their products...Buy with confidence! Thanks Tim! Installation was a breeze! Just turned the water off under the sink, used a wrench to tighten the faucet adaptors included onto the tank, connected the two faucet hoses and all was good! I did have to retighten one of the connections when I discovered a small leak after turning the water back on. Other than that, Easy-Peasy!Instant hot water is such a convenience, perfect to make tea. I used to always use the microwave, but now no wait time. Also cuts down on cooking times, especially when boiling hot water for pasta. We set our tank to 208, so water boils in just a few minutes!Works great easy to install and clean waterOriginal BTI was installed as part of a kitchen remodel. Unit stopped working after two years. Called them and they admitted they had a bad batch around that time and sent me a new unit Fed Ex 2 day no questions asked. Whoa! So rare these days! Super easy install btw. No need for a plumber. Highly recommend!
