Good water pump. The gasket has rubber teeth so when you place it in the water pump it takes a little extra time but prevents gasket slipping during install, that is huge for someone like me who just uses caveman tools to do jobs on my truck. Do to the style of gasket there is no need for RTV just apply a thin coat of silicone. The coolant pipe comes attached but torque is not right so I torqued to 20 ft/lbs and the recommended is 18, no leaks. Recommended torque for water pump bolts are 18 ft/lbs as well but I ended up doing 24 ft/lbs due to coolant leaking and problem solved. I have a 2000 Ford F350 7.3l and pump installed for 5 days no leaks and nice cool engine temperature.13 DEC 23 still no leaks and engine nice and cool.
