I was tired of the hard water deposits on faucets, showerheads, drain plugs, and glassware. I was skeptical that this would work but I did my research and decided to give it a try. I received the product about six months ago and wanted to wait to see if there really would be a difference. To my surprise, there was a difference. Now, you must understand what this will and will not do. It will NOT soften your water or make your soaps and shampoo lather better. It adds nothing to the water, as water softeners do, so you don't get any salt in your water or water system. It WILL reduce the mineral buildup, but not eliminate it. The buildup that you do get will be much easier to remove and I can only assume that it will be better for your appliances as well. Read the instructions carefully. It's easy to install but the magnets are VERY powerful so you must use caution or they will stick together, and you will NOT be able to get them apart. I am a 69-year-old widow and I installed the magnets myself in about five minutes. Once installed, there is nothing more you need to do. Nothing to plug in or service. All I can say is that this worked for me and I'm very pleased with the results.
