These are tasty black olives, Yes it is salty. If you want less salty which I think you should, you need to keep it in a jar with purified water for a couple of days. I also recommend dripping a little bit of olive oil on them, and maybe a few red pepper flakes, some feta cheese, crackers and early gray tea. Hmmmm giddy up!!Not a fan of these. I love Turkish olives, and maybe I just got a bad batch, but these are bitter and nothing like the olives I had during my visit to Turkey last year. There was a weird aftertaste to these, too.I do not know if I hate it or not. The package came opened and resealed with packing tape. Because this is a food product, I am afraid to try the olives. Very disappointed.Love these olives. I was in a grocery store in Istanbul and saw a local women purchasing these. Figured they must be good so bought some to bring home. They were delicious, so glad that they are available from Amazon!I really enjoyed these olives. If my dad were alive he also would love these olives. Dad used to buy them locally near his workplace but now they are difficult to find around here. So now I know where to get them!!Bought as a gift. Reception was good but not outstanding.This is the best olive I have ever tasted.. Soft, smooth and delicious..
