I've been using a frame that allows for like a for and a half of storage underneath and i was ready for a change. I was not experiencing it to be this low. I'm 5'7" and without box springs my 11" matress comes to just below my knees. I was looking for a lower frame but i didnt know they came this low. I like it. I might not delete my box springs just to get a *little* lift.It smells. Like elmers glue. But its coming from a factory from possibly overseas. I let it off gas for a few hours before i got impatient and sprayed febreze all over it. It didnt get rid of the smell. Whatever, i have an oil diffuser.After night 1 it was a nice sleep. I will be using the box springs for night 2 and beyond. I wouldn't recommend this frame for people who have issues getting up from low places.Edit: putting back the box spring made the bed perfect height
