Great machine. Has saved me enough money that it has almost paid for itself already this summer. It is for water distilling only. NOT FOR DISTILLATION OF ALCOHOL. (Before you ask)I had an issue with my distiller and the company sent me a new one. Great customer service for an affordable distiller.In the last three months I have made well over a 100 gallons of water so far. I use it in my humidifier, CPAP and coffee maker. I found that a mixture of half water and half lemon juice does a good job of cleaning the tank, just have to leave it until the calcium is dissolved. Where I live the water has a strong chlorine smell and even distilling did not remove it all. I did some research and found that by boiling the water first it would dissipate the chlorine so the distilled water had no chlorine odor. You could add the boiled water to the distiller to make the distilled water quicker but I prefer to let it cool down so I am not handling boiling water. The machine has already paid for itself and I no longer have to lug heavy jugs of water from the store each week. The main reason I purchased it in the first place was because I was having a hard time finding distilled water in the stores.Works great, easy to install, easy to use. You do need scrubber to clean between distills. Happy with purchase.I like distilled water because its healthier and tastes better. Tap water has flouride(calsifies penial gland/third eye, and decreases iq, and causes brian fog). Distilled wster is the cleanest water I know of but buying jugs is expensive and uses alot if plastic. This device fits my needs, works great and is less wasteful and less expensive than buying jug after jug of water. There are two on switches, one by the red light that glows when it is distiling and one in the back, both have to be on. It is quiet when it is distiling it is bigger than it looks but still an awesome product. It even came with a cleaning solution to clean the distiler when it gets dirty, Highly recommend. There is a website i forget the name of it but you can actually check your local water quality and find out what your putting in your body. I live in southern maryland abd certain places by me actually have pretty high levels of arsenic in the ground water.I spent some time comparing tabletop distillers, and I think this product is coming in at fair price-point, and after following the included directions, I didn't find any issues getting it set up or running.I ran the first cleaning cycle, and then made some water that I use for equipment (laser and air pump piston cooling). Distilled water can be used for many purposes, even capacitors! The unit is sturdy, and the plastic or polymer of the outside chassis shell (and fan housing) are high quality, not flimsy. If you pay more for other brands you can get upgraded features, like a stainless steel outer jacket around the pretreated water reservoir, or a glass receptacle flask, but with the current features of this unit, you will still have excellent functionality. I also think this purchase will help save a lot in purchasing bottled distilled water.Very slow to produce distilled waterEasy to use, I use quite a bit of distilled water, and during this ongoing shortage, it saves a lot of time seeking distilled water!
