I have read negative reviews of this product and I have not had the same experience. I'm a full time RV'er so I'm very picky about the products that I purchase and use. I can't afford to have something fail to work properly. This is a good, heavy duty, full flow hose with the heating cable built in. I've used external heating cables with hoses wrapped in insulation; and although that usually works fine, it's not cheap and it's cumbersome and the whole thing usually gets thrown away after one season. I've used the Pirit hose for two years now - primarily in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. It's been through temperatures from single digits to triple digits. The only thing changed from the day that I pulled it out of the box is that the orange has faded slightly. There are no cracks, no leaks and the hose has never frozen. I have had the supply line to the hydrant freeze and the connector I use into the RV has frozen - but the hose has worked perfectly.
