This filter made the city water drinkable. The Permeate Pump is AWESOME! without the Permeate Pump the RO systems just barely leaks water out the faucet. With the Permeate Pump you get the same water flow as you do with your city water pressure. It also refills so much faster and waste a lot less water. I ended up splitting the filter line to the Faucet and to the Refrigerator. I had some issues with the lines leaking. I added a few more wraps of teflon tape. Some of the push in hose fittings were leaking. Cutting a fresh piece of water line gave the fitting fresh line to bite into. I would expect these issues with any water filter system.
